The Colored Brodatz Texture (CBT) database is an extension of the Brodatz texture database from grayscale to color images. This new database has the advantages of preserving the rich textural content of the original Brodatz database and also having a wide variety of color content. Figures 1 and 2 give the color distributions for two images from the CBT database: D14 and D111. The x axis represents colors ranging from hue=0° to hue=360°, and the y axis is the frequency of the corresponding color. These two figures demonstrate that the process of adding color that was applied to the original images produced a wide range of color content.
